Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.visdom.virtuslab.com/visdom-control-plane.md). # Visdom Control Plane The Control Plane is the platform's shared administrative skeleton, a single place to manage projects and repositories, users and teams, **RBAC per project and repository** (the identity broker supplies authentication and general roles; the Control Plane holds the fine-grained permissions: who sees agent activity and configuration in which project), secrets, and an **opt-in mechanism per repository**, so an agent is enabled deliberately for named repositories rather than by default. It is administration, not analytics. Session activity, cost, attribution and the audit trail are produced and served by AI Tracing, and every component exposes a REST API with a published OpenAPI specification, so an organisation that wants those numbers inside its own portal or reporting stack pulls them from the component that owns them. ## Visdom Machine CI (optional, outside the core) For organisations where build time limits how fast agents can iterate, the platform offers a CI optimisation component: build caching, selective testing and Bazel-based acceleration. Agent iteration speed is bounded by build and test turnaround, so this matters most where a full build runs in tens of minutes.
